Bill has almost 20 years of experience in investment management. He spent most of the last 15 years at Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s most well-known institutional asset managers.

At Bridgewater, Bill served as head of the firms US Advisory business and as a Client Advisor to institutions around the world. His experience includes a diverse set of geographies (US, Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, China, and Korea) and client types (pensions, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, RIAs, endowments, and foundations). Bill also contributed to Bridgewater’s research efforts - primarily related to making portfolio construction concepts practical and relevant for sophisticated investors. His work was featured in several Bridgewater Daily Observations.

A geologist by education, Bill’s early career stops included environmental consulting, construction management, and real estate investing.

Bill has an undergraduate degree from Colgate University and received an MBA from Columbia Business School. When not at work, Bill can usually be found with his rockstar wife Julie watching their three boys - Ryan, Liam, and Finn - at baseball fields across the country.
